We’d like to thank the 100+ volunteers who made VCE Summer Tutoring 2026 a success. Whether that was delivering high-quality academic content, keeping resi students safe, working behind the scenes to keep everything running, or one of the myriad other tasks, it’s our volunteers who enable us to deliver our mission of addressing educational disadvantage.
We’d also like to thank all the people and organisations that help deliver our 2026 program, our sponsors and particularly our hosts Melbourne Connect innovation precinct and St. Hilda’s College for our residential program.
Information and early expressions of interest for VCE Summer Tutoring 2027 will be available in February.
VCE Summer Tutoring is a youth-led, volunteer-run charity established to ensure high school students from a diverse range of backgrounds across Victoria can access a high-quality education. We deliver a holistic two-week summer school program designed to prepare students for life, both during and beyond their VCE studies. The program is entirely facilitated by volunteers, who share their time and knowledge to support our community of students.
Students attend classes and one-on-one tutoring in their chosen subjects, alongside workshops covering tertiary study, career options and skills that supplement in-class learning. Our volunteers are made up of university students and recent graduates of diverse fields - everything from the humanities to sciences, design to medicine. They are always keen to share their firsthand experiences in VCE and tertiary study with our students.
We understand that VCE can be academically rigorous, and we believe it’s equally important to support students’ well-being. Our program offers students the opportunity to form lifelong connections and create lasting memories through a variety of extracurricular activities. We strive to create a vibrant and supportive atmosphere where students from all backgrounds feel comfortable, encouraged, and excited to learn.
Our mission is to address educational inequality across Victoria. This guides our commitment to ensuring all students can access the program and support they need to thrive in their final years of high school and beyond through the provision of affordable and high-quality tutoring.

As a parent, I found the VCE Summer Tutoring program to be an invaluable experience for my son. The program effectively balances academic and extracurricular activities, making it enjoyable. At first I was really reluctant to go to VCEST, to the point where I was begging my Mum to let me stay home. As soon as I arrived I was really intrigued. The classes are great and helpful, the tutors are very likeable and it’s such a good vibe the whole time. If you want to feel more comfortable going into VCE, this is the program for you.
