Student applications are open now. Timely applications close at 11.59pm, Thursday 1 October 2026. Late applications will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Please email program@vcesummertutoring.au in that case.
VCE Summer Tutoring is a youth-led, volunteer-run charity established to ensure high school students from a diverse range of backgrounds across Victoria can access a high-quality education. We deliver a holistic two-week summer school program designed to prepare students for life, both during and beyond their VCE studies. The program is entirely facilitated by volunteers, who share their time and knowledge to support our community of students.
Students attend classes and one-on-one tutoring in their chosen subjects, alongside workshops covering tertiary study, career options and skills that supplement in-class learning. Our volunteers are made up of university students and recent graduates of diverse fields - everything from the humanities to sciences, design to medicine. They are always keen to share their firsthand experiences in VCE and tertiary study with our students.
We understand that VCE can be academically rigorous, and we believe it’s equally important to support students’ well-being. Our program offers students the opportunity to form lifelong connections and create lasting memories through a variety of extracurricular activities. We strive to create a vibrant and supportive atmosphere where students from all backgrounds feel comfortable, encouraged, and excited to learn.
Our mission is to address educational inequality across Victoria. This guides our commitment to ensuring all students can access the program and support they need to thrive in their final years of high school and beyond through the provision of affordable and high-quality tutoring.

At first I was really reluctant to go to VCEST, to the point where I was begging my Mum to let me stay home. As soon as I arrived I was really intrigued. The classes are great and helpful, the tutors are very likeable and it’s such a good vibe the whole time. If you want to feel more comfortable going into VCE, this is the program for you.

This program was extremely helpful to me. I did the program in Year 11, and I will definitely apply for next year. Not only did it help me get ahead in my studies and allow for an extra room for learning, but it also helped build a sense of belonging, as I got to meet like-minded individuals and we got to grow and improve with each other within the two weeks. I also appreciated the activities and the fun little gimmicks.

VCEST has helped me feel more confident about beginning VCE. I felt supported by all the tutors, especially my GALs who were very welcoming. The tutors found ways to make the lessons engaging while also informative, and the 1 on 1 tutoring helped me understand difficult content from class. The group dynamics were great and there were many opportunities to socialise, I’ve made so many new friends. I’m honoured to be part of the VCEST program and this is what I wish day school was like!
