About the program
Program cost | The 2025 program cost $150. Pricing for the 2026 program will be announced when student applications open later in 2025.
This cost covers all program activities, including the academic program, daily lunch and breakfast, and social activities. We have bursaries and financial assistance on a needs basis. Our program is run as a not for profit endeavour to keep costs low—our only interest is in high quality education. |

Venue and location | The 2025 program was held at Monash University Clayton Campus, in the Learning and Teaching Building. |
Program structure | Our summer program is a two-week intensive day program, which runs from 10am–5pm Monday to Friday during two weeks in early Janary.
The program incorporates small-group tutorial-style lessons, daily one-on-one tutoring, a variety of social activities, small group workshops and more. Because of how our program is designed, we ask students to attend every day of VCE Summer Tutoring. Our 2026 timetable will be confirmed closer to the date, but a indicative timetable for 2025 is available. |
Subjects offered | We offer over 55 VCE subjects through our comprehensive network of tutors. This includes:
|
Small group and daily one-on-one tutoring | As part of your application we’ll ask what VCE subject you intend to study, and allocate you to classes for those subjects.
|
How to apply | Applications for VCE Summer Tutoring 2026 will open later in 2025. For now, you can complete our expression of interest form and you’ll be the first to know when applications open. |
Bursaries and financial support |
We partner with a number of organisations and donors to arrange full or partial bursaries. Please indicate on the student application that you need financial support (with a short explanation of circumstances) and we will locate bursaries you are eligible for.
Addressing educational disadvantage is a core goal of our organisation and we work hard to minimise financial barriers to participation. |
Who can apply | Our VCE Summer Tutoring program is suitable for all Victorian high school students entering their Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) year, that is, entering year 11 or 12.
While a big part of our ethos is addressing educational disadvantage, the program is suitable for students from all walks of life. We accept a limited number of students entering year 10, or who are enrolled in VCE with Voctational Major (VM) or the International Baccalaureate (IB). Our program is advantageous for those students, but please note we only provide VCE curriculum subjects. |
About us | VCE Summer Tutoring Incorporated is a Victorian not-for-profit incorporated association, and a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. Our aims are to address education disadvantage in Victorian high school students, and we do this by offering our summer program to any Victorian VCE student who wants a head start on their VCE.
The program pricing is set on an at-cost basis, and where possible we seek private donations to reduce the cost borne by participating students. Our tutors are volunteers, usually university students, who are screened for academic skill and suitability as educators. All tutors receive training and are covered by our child safety and wellbeing policy. More information can be found on our About Us page. |
